Banned from the room: advertising other servers, leagues, gyms, and clans
Do not spam tiers once a scripted tournament ends
Do not scout your opponents’ matches or you will be kicked out of the tournament. Repeat offenders will be banned from the room. (This does not apply for tiers with random teams like Random Battle and Challenge Cup)
Locked users should not join user hosted tournaments. If you choose to do so and are prompted to communicate, the host reserves the right to disqualify you.
For team tournament formats such as Survival, do not post team chat links in the room.
You must PM a roomauth (+, %, @, or #) and have them approve your tournament before posting it. Unapproved and falsely approved tournament announcements risk muting.
You may not join a tournament that you are hosting if it is a C&E, Survival, or any other user-created format where Pokemon are given out by the host. No exceptions.
Only use bold to advertise a tournament, and only advertise again once your current advert is out of view in the chat.
Do not advertise tournaments for other users. Additionally do not advertise your tournaments in any room other than the main tournaments room. Only announce tournaments that you yourself are hosting through Challonge, with the tournament ‘Sign Up’ link publicly visible.
Do not bash other hosts in your advertisements.
In-game Pokemon may only be given out by Voices+
Shipping prizes to winners IRL is not allowed
Online gifts such as Steam/Amazon/iTunes are allowed
Good sportsmanship is required at all times in the room, and in all battles that take place within the room. Behavior such as harassing opponents, spectators, or other players, over the top rage or anger, and any attempt to cheat to win will be treated harshly.
Links that are inappropriate or advertising anything outside of PS!/Smogon are not allowed
You can only post a link to a livestream while you are streaming an approved tournament
When signing up for a tournament, if your PS! and Challonge usernames do not match, click on “Sign up with a team name” and enter your PS! username.
When getting approval for a tournament, start with Voices(+) as they tend to be less busy than higher room auth.
If there is a tournament of the same tier/format, you will probably be asked to wait until it starts before you are able to advertise yours, depending on room activity and size of both tournaments.
If you have to leave before your tournament has finished, appoint a co-host and give them admin permission on Challonge if they agree to take over the tournament (found under Advanced Options → Permissions). If you repeatedly leave your tournaments unattended, you will be banned from hosting.
Do not ask for authority, engage in sycophancy or make it inherently obvious that you are seeking ranked status, as these will only set you back further.
For spam in a battle, PM a room staff member (Drivers (%) or higher) or use the command: /modchat +
