Catch and Evolve is a user-created tournament format in which a player will be given a random un-evolved Pokemon to participate with by the host. The player will then battle the opponent’s randomly selected Pokemon in the OU tier, and the winner will then obtain, or “catch” the opponent’s Pokemon. You then have the choice to “evolve” one of your Pokemon. You will continue to do this throughout the tournament, and those are the basic rules. Also, you can only “catch” one of the opponent’s Pokemon, and you can only “evolve” one Pokemon per match.
The following Pokemon are banned:
Pokemon that do not evolve or have already evolved
NEW: Pokemon that are tiered NU or above (Scyther, Gligar, Sneasel, Type: NUll)
NEW: In addition to the above, hosts may choose to ban LC Ubers Tangela, Yanma, Swirlix, Murkrow, Meditite, Misdreavus, Drifloon, Porygon, Cutiefly, Gothita and Vulpix, from their tours.

Battles have to be played in Gen 7 OU (or the tier of the variation if you are hosting one)
Mention whether:
Players get rerolls, and if so, how many
Z-moves, Sturdy, Focus Sash/Focus Band/etc., are banned for the first round
Megas and Alolan formes count as a separate evolution or not
The tournament is a variation, such as Monotype C&E
Remember that:
Pokemon that do not evolve, have already evolved, or evolve into a Pokemon that is banned in the tournament's tier cannot be given as starters
You can use our generator to generate starter Pokemon
C&Es have to be single elimination, and the number of participants must be a power of 2 between 8 and 32. 8 is recommended for newer hosts or if the the room isn't as active (~250 or less users). 32 is only recommended if there's a lot of activity in the room (~500 or more users) and you're confident that you can host it successfully. Try to only start your tour when you are at 8, 16, or 32 participants.
You can't join your own C&E because there would be no way to prove whether or not you rigged the starters
Do not post your tournament in rooms other than the tournaments room. This can lead to punishment and your tour being cancelled.
