Auction
- Players will get a budget of 10,000 Pokedollars to spend on Pokemon. The Pokemon to be bid on will be decided by the host beforehand.
- This format either requires a co-host, or for you to have won the THC at least once.

Clash of the Gym Leaders
- Choose a gym leader and use their whole team or choose 3 (filling the remaining spots with any Pokemon legal in OU)
- Battles are played in: OU
Catch & Evolve (C&E)
- PM the host for a starter Pokemon and battle your first opponent. If you win, take one Pokemon from their team and then evolve one of your team members. Repeat until you are eliminated or win the tournament!
- Battles are played in: OU
- Variations include other official Smogon tiers + OMs
Catch & Devolve (C&D)
- Similar to C&E, but given starters are fully-evolved and you must devolve one Pokemon after each win!
- Battles are played in: OU
Catch & Don't Evolve (C&DE)
- Similar to C&E, but you don't evolve or devolve Pokemon at any time
- Battles are played in: OU
Catch and Mass-evolve (C&M)
- Similar to C&E, but after each win you may evolve each of your team members once.
- Battles are played in: OU
Choice Chaos
- All Pokemon must hold either a Choice Band, Choice Scarf, or Choice Specs.
Cloak And Dagger
- Players are given the same randomly generated Pokemon in a tier chosen by the host.
- Players must use the given Pokemon, and are to add 5 others of their choice to their team.
- The battle ends when the player knocks out the generated Pokemon.
Doubles C&E
- Standard C&E, but doubled! You will start with 2 Pokemon, take 2 from your opponents' teams, and evolve 2 after each battle.
- Battles are played in: Doubles OU
Egg-cellent OU
- Players must build a team in which all Pokemon are required to share a common Egg Group
- Battles are played in: OU
Hunger Games
- Players will pair up, choose from the given Pokemon in their district, and try to survive until the end of the tournament. If you defeat another pair, you can choose to swap districts.
Legendary C&E
- Standard C&E, but all given Pokemon are legendary!
- Battles are played in: Ubers
Limit Break
- Players build teams based on a total BST limit (for Mega Pokemon, use the upgraded stats). Approved tiers and limits:
- Gen 7 OU - 2200
- Gen 7 UU - 2150
- Gen 7 RU - 2050
- Gen 7 LC - 1200
Metronome
- Each of your Pokemon may only know one move: Metronome! Items are allowed.
- Battles are played in: Balanced Hackmons
Monoregion/Monocolor C&E
Standard C&E + all given Pokemon either coming from the same region or sharing one color
Standard C&E + all given Pokemon either coming from the same region or sharing one color

Monotype C&E
- Standard C&E + all given Pokemon sharing one type
- Battles are played in: Monotype
Nuzlocke C&E
- Similar to C&E, but once a Pokemon faints in battle, you must remove it from your team. You may choose to re-add a fainted Pokemon each round instead of catching one of your opponent's.
- Battles are played in: OU
Opposite Day
- Players will PM the host teams for their opponents to use! Only the Pokemon can be chosen, not individual sets.
Pokebudget
- Players will get a budget of 1700 Pokedollars to spend on Pokemon. Each Pokemon has a different cost based on its viability.

PokeDraft
- PokeDraft has the same basic concept as Auction, but the major difference is that the players don’t have budgets. Instead, each Pokemon is free and will be picked in a snake draft as opposed to bought with Pokedollars. This significantly decreases the drafting time and allows for either a longer tournament phase or more players to compete.
Random Battle Triathlon
- Each round, players will compete in a best of 3 in generations 5-7 Random Battle
Same Six
- Every player is given the same randomly generated team or a themed team chosen by the host.
- Moves, IVs, EVs, natures, etc. can customized.
- Battles are played in: OU
Survival
- Players are divided into 2 teams to compete against one another! Each round, one player will be nominated to represent their team in the tier chosen by the host.
Trade And Evolve
- Players are given randomly generated teams of 6 pre-evolved Pokemon.
- The winner of each battle chooses one of the opponent's Pokemon and a Pokemon of their own to trade, as well as one Pokemon on their team to evolve (it can be the opponent's Pokemon).
